Zoutelande (zout is salt in Dutch) is a small villiage on the south side of Walcheren Island and faces out into the lower North Sea and the English Channel beyond that. Due to it's nice beaches, Zouteland is a big draw for tourists and many are from Germany.
During World War II, bunkers and tank traps were built there as part of the Atlantic Wall and there is a Bunker Museum that is open to visitors that is a big draw apparently.
